We recently lost one of the most important and influential actors of all time. I can’t speak for everyone, but being a kid born in the early 90’s Robin Williams was one of the first people I became aware of who’s job was to entertain. I still can’t tell you who played Aladdin (some guy from Roseanne I think), but I knew even back then that the genie was played by a funny man known as Robin Williams. No man’s career is perfect, and that certain applies to him as well, but even his bad films were a part of my youth, which made him very influential to the reviewer you see today. So now that we’re in that period where some mourn and other celebrate, I’ve decided to talk about one of my favorite of his movies. Robin Williams is amazing in this movie, but it took every sing person in that cast and crew to make it the masterpiece that it is. A lot of people don’t seem to recognize it for its brilliance, but those people are just jerks, and I’m going to prove them wrong! KEEP READING TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS FILM!!!

Living on Netflix: Oldboy (2013)
Remakes are awesome, right? We all love it when the sole reason a movie gets made is because people don’t want to read subtitles! Alright fine. To be fair, this remake has A LOT going for it. It’s a remake of a fantastic movie that deviated hevily from the book (they could draw more material from that), and it’s directed by someone who we actually know. One of Amercia’s favorite (and polarizing) Auters Spike Lee! Not only that, but the cast is great with Josh Brolin who’s awesome, Elizabeth Olson who is a big up and coming actress, and bad ass movie mainstays like Samuel L. Jackson and Charlto Copley. Does this movie rise above other remakes, or is it a giant wasted effort? Keep reading to find out!!
Living on Netflix: Assault on Wall Street
Is the whole Uwe Boll thing over yet? Do people still give him shit for being a bad filmmaker? Well far be it from me to avoid a bandwagon, so let’s take a look at one of his more recent films! Who knows? Maybe the guy has improved in the last few years! You want to find out if he did? Then keep reading!

Living on Netflix: American Mary
This is going to be an interesting one. A horror movie that isn’t found footage!? A horror movie that’s not a sequel or remake!? A horror movie with a plot and characters!? No wonder this only got a limited theatrical release. American Mary is the second film by the Soska twins whose prior film was a student project called “Dead Hooker in a Trunk” so that might give us a clue of what we’re in for with this one. Is their sophomore effort any good? Keep reading to find out!
Living on Netflix: Homefront
Starring Jason “fist with an accent” Statham, written by Sylvester “I wrote Rocky a long time ago” Stallone, and has James “I’m James Franco” Franco as an evil redneck. This sounds like the recipe for a down and dirty southern classic right? Well there’s only one way to find out, and that’s to keep reading!
Living on Netflix: Escape from Tomorrow
One of the biggest oddities of 2013 is this independent film that was shot inside Disney World (and Disney Land) without anyone from Disney knowing about it. What was made from that footage is supposed to be one of the most bizarre and inflammatory films to ever try and get one over on the Mouse House. I’ve been waiting to see this movie for a long time, and I’m SO glad that Netflix picked it up. Is it any good? Read on to find out!
Living on Netflix: Flight
Robert Zemeckis’s triumphant return to live action movies hit with a bang. Hailed as one of the best movies of 2012, Flight is the emotional tale of Denzel Washington trying to win another Oscar in this remake of Leaving Las Vegas. That’s how I see it at least. Did I like the movie? Keep reading to find out!
Living on Netflix: We Are What We Are
When I first saw the trailer for this, I knew I had to see it. The premise was great; it looked atmospheric, and appeared to have the right mix of craziness and seriousness that can turn your standard horror movie in a bone chilling masterpiece. Does it live up to the hype? Read on to find out!
Living on Netflix: Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil
Everyone likes Hoodwinked, right? It was clever, unexpected, and looked pretty good considering how astoundingly low its budget was. It was a real sleeper hit that ended up grossing over one hundred million dollars at the box office (factoring in international as well as domestic). So naturally, a sequel was planned… that came out five years later. Not only that, but it was a terrible piece of garbage according to critics. Well hell, I’m sure you guys like to see me in pain, so why don’t we give this one a shot?
